360Impact Introduces Africa Value Creation Intelligence for Boards, Investors and Institutional Leaders Across African Markets
New African institutional knowledge and intelligence environment addresses a growing decision problem: understanding what investment, strategy and institutional activity are actually becoming over time.
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, 1 September 2026
Boards, executive teams, investors and public institutions across African markets are being asked to make increasingly consequential decisions using information that is often extensive, fragmented and difficult to interpret.
Institutions can establish how much was invested, what programmes were delivered, which commitments were made and how performance changed. A harder question remains:
What value did those decisions actually create, preserve or erode, and how durable is that value over time?
360Impact has introduced Africa Value Creation Intelligence, or Africa VCI, an African field of study and practice focused on this institutional evidence problem.
The field is intended to strengthen the basis on which institutional leaders examine questions of value, performance and long-term consequence across African markets.
For boards and executive teams, the issue is increasingly material. Governance, sustainability, capital allocation, strategy and institutional performance are producing growing volumes of information, yet greater disclosure does not automatically produce greater clarity about value.
For investors and capital stewards, a similar challenge arises after capital has been deployed. Expenditure and activity may be visible, while the institutional, economic, social and environmental consequences of that capital can remain difficult to interpret.
Public institutions and development organisations face the related question of whether programmes, investment and institutional interventions are producing value capable of being sustained beyond the immediate delivery period.
Africa VCI provides a field through which these questions can be examined more systematically within African institutional settings.
A market-facing institutional environment
The field is presented through 360Impact, an African institutional knowledge, intelligence and executive education environment.
Its developing portfolio includes:
Institutional Perspectives
Focused analysis around institutional performance, value and emerging questions relevant to executive decision-making.
Board Inquiry
A bounded inquiry around a consequential question requiring greater board-level understanding.
Sector Intelligence
Perspectives on changing sector conditions, risks and value dynamics.
Capital Perspectives
Decision-relevant analysis for investors, asset owners, allocators and other capital stewards.
Public Knowledge
Africa and country value creation Outlooks, periodic Perspectives and institutional dialogues.
Executive Education
Institutional learning designed to strengthen understanding around value creation, evidence and changing African market conditions.
360Impact is also developing the Africa VCI Node Model, through which country-based public knowledge environments can be constituted within distinct African institutional and economic settings.
The public knowledge function remains separate from institution-specific intelligence engagements.
From activity to consequence
Dr Rashika Panday, founder of Africa VCI, said the field responds to a recurring challenge confronting institutional leaders.
“Boards and executives can often establish what an institution did, what it spent and what it reported. The more difficult question is what those activities became over time. That difference matters when decisions involve capital, institutional resilience and long-term value.”
Africa VCI does not replace existing governance, financial reporting, sustainability or professional advisory frameworks. Instead, it creates an additional field of inquiry around what available institutional evidence permits leaders to understand about value creation, preservation and erosion.
The field was founded within GIYA Foundation, with 360Impact providing its market-facing institutional environment.
Institutional engagement
360Impact is beginning conversations with boards, executives, investors, public institutions and other institutional leaders around consequential questions of value in African settings.
Institutions may engage through focused institutional intelligence assignments or explore participation in the developing Africa VCI public knowledge environment.
