EnergyCube adds conveyor safety switches and a hydraulic alignment station to its parts range
EnergyCube has added three conveyor safety switch families, a ceramic rubber pulley lagging sheet and a hydraulic belt alignment station to its spare parts catalogue for bulk material handling.
HENGSHUI, China, 6 November 2026 - EnergyCube has extended its conveyor spare parts catalogue with three safety switch families, a ceramic rubber pulley lagging sheet and a hydraulic belt alignment station, addressing failure modes that operators of bulk material handling systems in mining, ports, cement and power generation report most often.
The safety range covers three functions that are commonly specified on the same conveyor. The pull-cord emergency stop switch provides a continuous trip line along the walkway so that an operator can halt the drive from any position. The belt sway misalignment switch detects lateral drift of the belt at the idler frame and signals before the belt reaches the structure. The zero-speed belt slip switch compares actual belt speed against the drive and reports slip during start-up or under load.
All three units use die-cast aluminium housings rated IP65, with normally open and normally closed contacts and manual reset. The pull-cord model is fitted with a bi-directional lever and a D-shaped hook at each end, allowing the trip line to be arranged from either side of the frame.
The ceramic rubber pulley lagging sheet is a bolt-on alternative to vulcanised lagging for drive pulleys that cannot be re-lagged in place. Ceramic tiles embedded in a herringbone rubber matrix are intended to maintain grip in wet conditions and to resist abrasive fines.
The hydraulic belt alignment station is designed for conveyors where mechanical self-aligning idlers cannot correct a persistent offset, including long centre distances and belts that are unevenly loaded. Two hydraulic cylinders act on a three-roller troughing set, and correction is applied through a control valve block rather than through the belt's own tracking force.
"Most of these failures are not sudden," said Garrod Deng, who leads technical and marketing work at EnergyCube. "A belt walks slowly for weeks before it rubs the chute. The switch is what gives the maintenance team time."
