CASABLANCA, Morocco — September 24, 2026 — Morocco Travel Experts, a Morocco-based destination management company, announced on Thursday a seven-day tour package designed for travelers planning to view the total solar eclipse on August 2, 2027, in northern Morocco.
The itinerary, which the company said is now open for booking, includes stops in Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Tetouan and Fes, with eclipse viewing scheduled for August 2. The route positions travelers in northern Morocco before eclipse day, according to the company, to reduce the need for long transfers on the morning of the event and to allow flexibility in choosing a final viewing location based on weather conditions.
Northern Morocco lies along the path of totality for the August 2, 2027, eclipse, making areas around Tangier and Tetouan key destinations for travelers seeking a total rather than partial eclipse. The company noted that a total solar eclipse typically concentrates a large number of travelers in a relatively small geographic area, and that northern Morocco is expected to see increased demand for accommodation and transportation around the event.
The seven-day tour includes arrival in Casablanca, visits to Rabat, Chefchaouen and Tetouan, eclipse viewing on August 2, 2027, and a concluding stop in Fes, along with other cultural and sightseeing activities in northern Morocco. Morocco Travel Experts said travelers planning independently should prioritize booking accommodation, transportation and their location for the night of August 1.
